Belden
Stratus, finaliste du prix de l’innovation Joseph C. Belden de 2024, va au-delà de la disponibilité cinq neuf avec sa plate-forme informatique tolérante aux pannes de sept neuf.

Shaping the future means embracing innovation and discovering fresh ways to resolve challenges.

For over 120 years, Belden has been driven by innovation, as we connect people, information and ideas to help you unlock new opportunities.

As we foster innovation, we also celebrate the visionaries who are working toward a similar mission of building a better future. C’est pourquoi, en 2024, Belden a créé le prix de l'innovation Joseph C. Belden.

Mr. Belden's pioneering vision shaped the early years of the telecommunications industry. To honor his legacy of innovation, we choose to champion the next generation of groundbreaking technologies.

As we recognize the 2025 Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award honorees, we’re also taking time to highlight the impressive finalists from the award program’s first year (2024). Ces entreprises avant-gardistes résolvent les problèmes qui comptent le plus.

Meet Joseph C. Belden Innovation Award finalist Stratus

Many industries are intimately familiar with five-nines availability: It offers a high level of system reliability to ensure that a service or infrastructure experiences minimal downtime.

Stratus, a company specializing in fault-tolerant computing solutions, offers seven-nines (99.99999%) availability with its ztC Endurance platform. This advanced fault-tolerant computing platform integrates automated fault detection and self-healing capabilities that allow it to monitor and anticipate risks before a system goes down. Every key component has a backup, so operations continue if something fails. This enables IT and OT networks to run critical applications with virtually zero downtime or data loss.

One of the biggest benefits of ztC Endurance is that almost anyone can maintain it. The system automatically isolates faulty components, alerts Stratus and guides users through quick replacements. As mission-critical industries, such as manufacturing, energy, transportation and industrial automation, face increasingly complex environments, workforce shortages and stricter efficiency requirements, ztC Endurance helps their lean teams maintain uptime and simplify maintenance. Remote monitoring capabilities and management APIs that are interoperable with existing IT tools and systems empower teams with automated diagnostics, predictive analytics and simplified system management.

"The technology helps level the playing field," says John Chaves, senior director of engineering at Stratus. "People don't need 10 years of experience just to know whether a machine is running properly. If you can provide insights to operators to make it obvious as to what actions to take, people will have the resources and information they need to make the best decisions on the job."

Ensuring uninterrupted performance for critical operations

The ztC Endurance platform is all about keeping mission-critical systems running smoothly, no matter what—which is a core focus for Belden as well.

"It's true innovation because it's simplification of things like making a determination about where to run processes or how to deploy them on devices. These are typically hugely complex decisions that can't be solved by many of our customers," explains Chaves.Just like Stratus, Belden prioritizes solutions with network resilience at the core, ensuring reliability and redundancy. Our goal is to help customers maintain uninterrupted data transmission always, letting them focus on production instead of network or security issues.
